LABJACK ACCESSORIES

LJTick-VRef
The LJTick-VRef is a Voltage reference accessory that outputs a stable 2.5V or 4.096V signal. These ticks are commonly used as an excitation voltage for various circuits. The IOA and IOB lines are pass-through terminals, and do not interact with the accessory in any way.

CB15 Terminal Board
Provides convenient screw terminals for the 12 digital I/O lines on the DB15 connector of compatible LabJack devices. Includes a screwdriver. Not compatible with the U12.

CB37 Terminal Board
Provides convenient screw terminals for the DB37 connector on the LabJack U6, UE9, and T7. Includes a screwdriver. Compatible with LJTick signal-conditioning modules.

3ft DB37 M/F Serial Cable

Mux80 AIN Expansion Board
Analog input expansion board that adds 80 analog input channels. It can be connected to a U6, UE9, or T7 directly through the DB37 connector. Ten of the LabJack’s analog inputs are multiplexed (1:8 each) by the Mux80, and 4 are left untouched on AIN0-3 screw terminals, bringing the total number of available analog inputs to 84.
- 80 channels
- OEM capability
- High density connectors
- Snaptrack/DIN rail compatible

LM34CAZ Silicon Temperature Sensor
The LM34CAZ is ideal for cold-junction compensation(CJC) temperature measurements. Customers who are using thermocouples on an external CB37 terminal board can wire this sensor to a nearby analog input, and correlate the CJC offset within software. Simply connect +Vs to LabJack VS, GND to LabJack GND, and Vout to a LabJack AIN terminal (FIO/EIO is best on the U3). It has a very convenient output of 10mV per °F, so 0.78V would correspond with 78°F.

EI1022 Temperature Probe
Easy to use and inexpensive temperature probe from Electronic Innovations Corp. Features a plastic probe, a high-level linear output of 10 mV per degree K, a typical accuracy of ±1 degrees C (±1.8 degrees F) at room temperature, and a range of -40 to +100 degrees C (-40 to +212 degrees F).

EI1034 Temperature Probe
Easy to use and very accurate temperature probe from Electronic Innovations Corp. Features a waterproof stainless-steel probe, a high-level linear output of 10 mV per degree F, a typical accuracy of ±0.4 degrees F (±0.22 degrees C) at room temperature, and a range of 0 to +230 degrees F (-17 to +110 degrees C, with U3/UE9).

DIN Rail Mounting Clip
Clip used to mount a LabJack device to a DIN rail. Simply attach this clip to the backside of a LabJack device, and clip it to any DIN rail. This clip is manufactured by TE Connectivity, p/n TKAD, or 6-1437661-4. We recommend two TKAD mounting clips per U6, UE9, and T7, because these LabJack devices have mounting locations for two clips. As shown in the image, the U3 only has one spot for a clip. These clips are also compatible with the grey Snaptrack on our accessory boards. So for instance, it is possible to mount a CB37 to the DIN rail.

LJTick-DAC
Provides a pair of 14-bit analog outputs with a range of +/- 10 volts. Plugs into any digital I/O block (e.g. FIO4/FIO5), and thus up to 10 of these can be used per LabJack to add 20 analog outputs. Works with T-Series devices (T7, T4) and any UD family device (U3/U6/UE9).

LJTick-Resistance
The LJTick-Resistance (LJTRx) makes it easy for LabJack devices to measure resistive sensors. This tick gives users a regulated 2.5V signal that can be used as a excitation voltage and a known resistance value in series with a sensor input line. This gives users the ability to calculate the resistance of their connected sensor.
- Uses precision 1k, 10k, 100k, or 1M resistors in a resistor divider setup.

LJTick-LVDigitalIO
A bidirectional logic shifting board for converting 3.3V logic down to 2.5V or 1.8V. There is also a VOUT terminal which can source power at the selected voltage. Useful for users who have external boards that run on lower logic thresholds, or simply want a 3.3V, 2.5V, or 1.8V supply. The logic terminals presented on this accessory board are for communication purposes only, they cannot drive relays or other forms of load.
- Supports bi-directional communication
- Up to 800kHz
- 3.3V, 2.5V, or 1.8V
- VOUT terminal can source up to 200mA

LJTick-OutBuff
Increases the output current of the DAC outputs on LabJack devices. Can also be used for switched 3.3V when attached to a 3.3V digital I/O line. LabJack devices cannot output more than about 15mA on their DAC0 and DAC1 analog outputs, so this accessory is very helpful for users who want to increase that capability. One common application is to control the speed of a low voltage DC motor.
- Drives up to 200mA
- 0-5V output range*

LJTick-InBuff
Very low bias current (1pA) input buffer which can directly measure pH sensors (electrode type sensors) and other weakly driven or high source impedance signals. The analog inputs on our compatible DAQ products (U3, U6, UE9, T7, T4) have typical bias currents on the order of 20 nA, which is quite low, but the LJTick-InBuff reduces that dramatically.
- Only requires 1pA bias current
- ±10V input range
- Has pads to optionally install gain resistors

LJTick-DigitalOut5V
Converts 3.3V digital outputs to 5V digital outputs. Easily control 5V relays, or interface with a 5V logic device. Read more about controlling relays and connecting 5V signals in this app-note.
- Output only
- Source or sink 50mA or more
- Up to 800kHz

LJTick-RelayDriver
Allows 2 digital I/O lines to each control a relay or other moderate load. The 4-pin design plugs into the standard DIO/DIO/GND/VS screw terminal block found on LabJacks such as the U3, U6, UE9, T7, and T4. Each DIO controls a switch to ground (i.e. open-collector) that can hold off up to 50 volts and can sink up to 200 mA.
- Connect LabJack VS terminal(5V) to the (+) of the load.
- RelayDriver connects to the low side (-) of the load.

LJTick-Proto
The LJTick-Proto (LJTP) consists of an 8×8 grid of holes for prototyping custom signal-conditioning ticks. The 4-pin design plugs into the standard AIN/AIN/GND/VS screw terminal block found on LabJacks such as the U3, U6, UE9, T7, and T4. Includes 3 loose pieces: the PCB, a 4-position screw terminal, and a right-angle pin header.

LJTick-InAmp
Signal-conditioning module provides two instrumentation amplifiers ideal for low-level signals such as bridge circuits (e.g. strain gauges) and thermocouples. Each amplifier converts a differential input to single-ended. The LJTIA has switches to choose from 5 gain settings (x1, x11, x51, x201, or custom) and two output voltage offsets. The 4-pin design plugs into the standard AIN/AIN/GND/VS screw terminal block found on LabJacks such as the U3, U6, UE9, T7, and T4.

LJTick-CurrentShunt
The LJTick-CurrentShunt (LJTCS) is a signal-conditioning module designed to convert a 4-20 mA current loop input signal into a 0.47-2.36 volt signal compatible with the LabJack U3, U6, UE9, T7, or T4. The 4-pin design plugs into the standard AIN/AIN/GND/VS screw terminal block found on LabJacks such as the U3, U6, UE9, T7, and T4.
